The Sigognac vintages make up an exceptional collection of rare eaux-de-vie, fine in the mouth and intense in aromas. All bottles are prepared by the producer exclusively to order which allows for a vintage to carry on maturing until the last moment. We have two bottles from this vintage, both bottled after November 1997.

- Aroma:
- It has a nose of dried fruits, soft cherries and some spice.
- Ageing:
- Armagnac is traditionally aged in a 400-420 litre oak cask.
- Distillation:
- Traditional armagnac is distilled once in a small continuous still called an alembic which issues a spirit between 60 and 62 degrees.
- Flavour:
- Vanilla, soft spices and subtle oaky flavours vie for attention.
- Grape Variety:
- Mainly Ugni Blanc but a proportion of Baco is also used
- Reduction & Strength:
- Cask strength. Natural reduction from storing in wood
- Viticulture:
- The soil comprises rough clay and limestone with some sand.
