This Bas Armagnac comes from a blend of two cepages, the Ugni Blanc and Baco. Its fawn coloured robe with some red copper gives some rancio flavours reflecting its long stay in barrels.

Additional Information
- Aroma:
- A spicy bouquet of sandal wood, vanilla, banana
- Ageing:
- All Castarede armagnacs are well aged in oak casks to provide the maximum tannins. The cellars are next to the Baise ensuring that they are always damp and providing the best conditions for these fine armagnacs.
- Distillation:
- Single distillation at around 58 – 60 degrees providing more complex aromas and taste
- Flavour:
- The mouth is soft and mellow but this eau de vie has kept the nervous edge of the baco cepage
- Grape Variety:
- Ugni Blanc and Baco
- Viticulture:
- The climate is soft and humid with sunny autumns and the soil is made of siliceous clay which is poor in lime, giving Bas Armagnacs a lightness and fragrance with subtle tastes
