- The flavour is of richly baked apples and sultanas
- Grape Variety:
- Not a grape but cidre made from apples and perry pear. The apples come from 5 different varieties, 20% are picked and the rest are allowed to start dropping, thus allowing maximum sugar content. There is 12% pear added.

- The mild and damp weather and clayed soil of the Pays d'Auge give the Château du Breuil ideal growing conditions for its 22,000 apple trees which surround the castle.
