The Delord distillery is located in Lannepax, the family’s native village. Distillation, an essential and fascinating step, generally takes place in the heart of winter. They are one of the only Armagnac houses to use both distillation methods, the continuous distillation typical of Armagnac and the double heating distillation. Their two Armagnac stills, including one from the “Sier” house from 1900, are column stills equipped with “spider leg” trays ideal for the production of old Armagnacs. The two “double heated” stills produce fruity eaux-de-vie intended for young Armagnacs such as this Delord 2006 Bas Armagnac.
