Starting to develop a rancio richness, this is a drier calvados but full of apple flavours. It still has a cleanness but has lost some of the pear drop qualities that most calvados has in their first years.

Additional Information
- Aroma:
- Slightly musty apple with pear drop in the background
- Ageing:
- Dupont age all their calvados in oak barrels
- Distillation:
- Double distillation on Charente Alembic stills
- Flavour:
- Starts with flavours of mature pear, young apple and ugli fruit and ends with burnt sugar and mace
- Grape Variety:
- Not a Grape but cidre made from apples and perry pear. The bitter/sweet apples are mainly picked and crushed in a membrane press to get the flavour from the skins. There are several varieties including Saint Martin, Noel des Champs, Mettais and Doux Normandie. The apples are small with high aromatic intensity
- Reduction & Strength:
- Some reduction does take place
- Viticulture:
- Rich and fertile land. The Normandy apple plantations are quite unique since they are used almost solely for the production of calvados. Many apples are grown today on the new low variety of trees
